Scott

Scott Melin – Fascial Stretch Therapist

Hailing from outside Chicago, Scott has lived in Colorado for over 20 years. Upon being forced to quit collegiate basketball due to severe lower back pain, he spent 15 years trying to find relief until he discovered Fascial Stretch Therapy through our very own Nick and Donna Gill. Not only did Scott find relief; as a result he became certified as a Level 1 and 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist. To say FST changed his life is a massive understatement!

During sessions, Scott focuses on making you feel whole again using breathing techniques and cupping. As someone who understands chronic pain and how relief should feel, he takes pride in working with clients on their journey to become their best self.

Outside work, Scott is a stay at home dad who can be found spending family time with his amazing wife Casey, their beautiful children Cooper and Daisy, and their 3 dogs Ozzy, Louise, and Rosie. He coaches high school basketball at Erie and Skyline High Schools, is a hard core Colorado sports fan, and loves being around water.

Lisa Short - Acupuncturist / Fascial Stretch Therapist

Lisa adds acupuncture and other traditional Chinese modalities with Fascial Stretch Therapy, as well as cupping, guasha, and other needling techniques to address pain and patterns from multiple angles.

In her free time, you can find Lisa playing sand volleyball and hanging out with her friends.

Jonathan Morse

Jonathan Morse - Recovery Specialist / Fascial Stretch Therapist

Jonathan or “J-Mo”, as we like to call him, is a Boulder native who grew up playing basketball at Fairview High School, where he then moved on to play Division 2 basketball at Metro State in Denver where he graduated with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He was eventually able to pursue his dream of playing professional basketball in Portugal and Australia!

After having major corrective surgery on his leg due to a deformity, he went through rigorous rehab, having to relearn the fundamentals of walking, running, and jumping. Through this experience, J-Mo discovered the benefits of Fascial Stretch Therapy. In the meantime, you can find him assisting our amazing clients in our center.

Outside Kb Wellness Center, J-Mo loves the gym, playing golf, hiking, and camping. He can’t wait to heal so he can go back to playing more basketball!

Off the table, G enjoys lifting weights to clear her mind and keep her strong for her clients, and hanging out with good people while enjoying an adult beverage or two!

Kym & Jeff Brekhus - Founders/Co-owners

Jeff & Kym Brekhus are the founders and co-owners of Kb Wellness Center. "Kb" proudly stands for Kym's initials. Kym was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2019, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, while treatment centers were forced to close their doors, the couple sought a safe and healthy space for her to continue treatments in order to prevent relapse. This ultimately led to the creation of Kb Wellness Center for those looking to heal their bodies and prevent injury in a thriving holistic community. Jeff and Kym own Brekhus Tile & Stone, and also co-own Fit House Denver next door to our headquarters.
